Our Chat Away group is for adults with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, and we meet every other week around South Yorkshire so you can build lasting relationships and try lots of new things. We love to hear suggestions from our members about where to go next. We’ll organise the logistics, you just turn up and have a good time.

Our next Chat Away is Monday 16th June 2025, and this will be our first ever SHASBAH-only table tennis! We have Kelham Island Tennis Club all to ourselves from 2-4pm. You can dip in and out of the session and games will be adapted for any ability so we can all have a bit of fun.

Kelham Island Table Tennis Club is situated next to Kelham Island Museum. Founders Simon Athey and Liam Bardell launched the club in 2023 from a room at the café owned by Liam at Kelham Island Museum, having previously hosted games and competitions with their friends in the space. After speaking to the local community, they now have a thriving and diverse club.
