DESCRIPTION:SHASBAH is hosting a special art exhibition just in time for Valentine’s Day!  \n‘For the Love’ will be open to the public to view the work of local Sheffield artist\, Paul Bishop\, from Thursday 5th February to Thursday 19th February at The Circle\, Rockingham Lane\, Sheffield.  A ‘Meet the Artist’ Q and A buffet will be held on Friday 13th February 12:30-4pm with a visit from the Lord Mayor of Sheffield Councillor Safiya Saeed. \nPaul Bishop is a local Sheffield artist who uses acrylics and watercolour to explore a range of themes across local and cultural history spanning iconic Sheffield scenes past and present\, cultural icons and World War. \nArt Fundraiser \nAll original framed and unframed paintings will be available to buy\, as well as gift card packs. DESCRIPTION:As part of our membership activities\, we have accessible canal boat trips with the wonderful Ethel and Pearl barges\, belonging to the Ethel Trust Community Barges. There is no cost for our members and their loved ones to book on\, and family members and support workers are more than welcome to join in! \nThis Friday 15th May is your chance to go on the Ethel Barge. It’s a wonderfully unique way to see South Yorkshire\, and you can also enjoy meeting other members. \nOur day out will start at Victoria Quays in Sheffield\, then we’ll head on an adventure through the beautiful canals of South Yorkshire. A picnic lunch and refreshments will be provided. Trained volunteers skipper the Pearl Barge\, who have experience working with a diverse range of needs. There are lifts at the front and rear for accessing the canal boat\, as well as accessible toilets on board. \nThere is a limit of 12 guests on the boat\, so book your place today!

Come along and enjoy the day with our community of people living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. \n\n\nWe’d love you to join us for a fun-filled SHASBAH Summer Party! \nWorsborough Mill and ReservoirPicnic area and play park (near Wigfield Farm) \n🚩 Look out for the SHASBAH flag at the entrance to the car park. \n🧺 What to bring\n\nA picnic or packed lunch\nPlenty to drink\nSun cream\nHats (if it’s sunny!)\n\n🌟 What we’ll provide\n\nA mobile changing van with a hoist (please bring your own sling if needed)\nA guided walk/wheels tour around the reservoir\nInclusive table tennis\nPlay park fun\nTime to relax\, chat and catch up with friends\nA delicious gelato ice cream from the on-site café (choose your favourite flavour!)\n\nWe can’t wait to see you for a fantastic day of fun\, friendship and hopefully plenty of sunshine! \n\n\nIf you would like to join us\, please complete our short form to provide us with some useful details that will help us on the day. \n
