It’s a great opportunity to get to know other people in a similar situation. We meet every week\, so you can really build lasting relationships. We’re a friendly bunch\, so don’t be shy! \nOur venue\, Burton Street Foundation\, is excellent and easily accessible\, located in Hillsborough\, Sheffield. We’ve booked a bunch of dates for groups of SHASBAH members to get out on the water. It’s such a fun and unique way to see South Yorkshire\, as well as a great way to get together with other people. \nGet in touch to book your place by calling or texting us at 07752665411. Friends\, family and support workers are more than welcome to join in. These trips are free\, so there’s really no reason to pass up this fab opportunity. \nOur day out will start at Stanilands Marina\, Thorne\, Doncaster DN8 5EP\, then we’ll head on an adventure through the beautiful canals of South Yorkshire. There are a pub and a fish and chip shop at the halfway point for any hungry sailors. Fully trained volunteers skipper the Ethel Barge\, who have experience of a diverse range of needs. There are lifts at the front and rear for accessing the canal boat\, as well as accessible toilets on board. \nSee what else we’ve got planned this summer\, including other dates for barge trips\, on our Upcoming Events.
