What have we been up to this Holiday Season?

What a couple of months it’s been! We’re so proud of our SHASBAH community for getting stuck in and making the most of the opportunities we’ve had to have fun, get creative and stay active this winter.

Here’s a little wrap up of all the Christmassy fun we’ve had…

A festive time learning all about foxes with our mascot, Shasby and Vicki from Rainbow Fox Academy. Check out those beautiful fox pictures that we made!
Our team and volunteers did such a good job of decorating our SHASBAH Christmas Tree for the Sheffield Cathedral Festival. Our tree was so unique with the cute little red splints and Shasby perched on top.
Some of our members got an early present of a wreath-making kit, which was a fabulous activity for young and old to get involved in. We received this heart-warming message from one family:

“We received our wreath making yesterday and made it today. Aidan wanted to design his own and put lights on. It’s been a wonderful experience and made it feel extra special for us both as we’ve never done anything like this before. As Aidan as not been to school since March due to his complex medical needs it also gave us something to really look forward to doing. It’s opened a experience that we would not have even looked at doing. Thank you so much for allowing us to do this. Merry Christmas to you and the team.”

Finally, we had two Christmas card-making sessions over Zoom – a relaxing and sociable way to spend a Saturday. Thanks to Michelle, our Chairperson, for doing a great job of leading those.
